I’d love to watch Atelier Escha & Logy, believe me, but I’ve only had the game a few weeks, I’ve been neck-deep in Eiyuu*Senki for months, and I honestly still haven’t even touched Ayesha. I can’t, in all good conscience, get into the anime yet. It’ll just be backlogged for a while. I do intend to take the two games out this year, though, so hopefully by year-end I’ll have seen it.

I’m still waiting on a couple of finales (SYD and Saki) before I write up final impressions for Winter. Expect those… Sunday or early next week, I guess. The new season will have started by then.

Summer 2013 Final Impressions (+Railgun & Kyojin)

October 8, 2013

Late on this because Commie took forever on the last Symphogear. (I’m still not sure if it’s out. Some kind Anons subbed it first 8 days after airing.)

Spring 2013 Initial Impressions

April 20, 2013

I kinda forgot that I had to do this last week since I was in a push to finish up Neptunia V. (Got my platinum!)

I want to try doing these without series synopses this time because odds are pretty good you can read just fine (or you wouldn’t be here) and they’re all in that chart. And I’m no good at writing them. So we’ll just roll with a title, an image, and my impressions.

Ookami-san loves cameos

August 19, 2010

Apparently, J.C. Staff loves to plug their other work with the Ookami-san anime. Last week, we were treated to this cameo of recolors from Toradora! and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun.

And this week, we got straight cameos from both series.

And Railgun:

I’m just a bit disappointed that there were no opportunities for voiced cameos, despite a good chunk of them having the VAs working on that very episode. Kuroko’s VA is the narrator, Minori’s VA is Alice, Saten’s VA is Ringo, Otohime’s VA is Uiharu, and the resident Kugimiya loli even came back, which could have left an opportunity for Taiga to say something. Oh well. Maybe we’ll end up with even more cameos by the time the show’s over, but I’m not getting my hopes up with only four episodes left.

Seven Seas licenses Toradora and Railgun manga

July 20, 2010

Funi licenses both “To Aru” series

July 2, 2010

Dammit, Funi, you know I can’t say “no” to you. I love ya, ya little scoundrel you. Now pick up Higurashi Kai already.

(Oh, and on a related note, they may have the Umineko anime, God only knows why. Rumors are going around that they’ve removed the episodes from YouTube under Funi’s request.)

Winter 2010 (+Railgun & KnT) Final Impressions

April 11, 2010

I’m sorry it took so long to get this done, but apparently Spring Break and exams screwed everything up for a lot of sub groups. I couldn’t even finish Vampire Bund until Funi’s stream came out. That’s how slow a lot of releases have been. I promise that I never forgot.

Anyway, having finished several shows I’ve watched this season and a couple from Fall that just ended, it’s time to throw out my opinions on the completed series.

Index (and maybe Touma) in new Railgun OP

January 16, 2010

I didn’t realize this when I watched it last night, but I saw someone on a forum I frequent mention that Touma and Index were in the new OP for To Aru Kagaku no Railgun which debuted in the newest episode (along with a new ED). For those who don’t know, Touma is the main character of To Aru Majutsu no Index, the series that Railgun is a spinoff of, and Index is the title character (though after the first arc, she was more or less demoted to “mascot” status). I went back and snagged shots out of interest. They pass by in the unfocused foreground, so they’re blurry.

Probably Touma.

Definitely Index.
